Rixin Archive Support
Send files into a local archive from the Android apps where you receive them.
Email support: leelele9@gmail.comArchive a file
Open the file in its source app, use that app's Share or Send action, and select Rixin Archive from the Android share chooser. Rixin Archive accepts one file through ACTION_SEND or multiple files through ACTION_SEND_MULTIPLE. Review the archive details and confirm to create the local copy.
Common source apps
The steps and labels vary by Android version and source app; source apps may label the Share or Send handoff differently, sometimes with wording such as 'Open with another app.' Select Rixin Archive only when that option opens Android's share/send chooser. Rixin Archive does not handle generic Android ACTION_VIEW ('Open with') requests.
These apps are independent services; Rixin Archive is not affiliated with WeChat, QQ, WeCom, DingTalk, WPS, Microsoft Office, Gallery, browser providers, or file-manager providers.
- WeChat: open a chat file, tap More, then choose the option that opens Android's Share or Send chooser and select Rixin Archive.
- QQ: open a file, tap More or Share, then select Rixin Archive from the Android share chooser.
- WeCom: open a file, tap More, choose its Share or Send handoff, then select Rixin Archive.
- DingTalk: open a file, tap More, choose Share or Send, then select Rixin Archive.
- WPS, Microsoft Office, and Gallery: use the app's Share or Send action, then choose Rixin Archive.
- A browser, Downloads, or a file manager: open or select the downloaded file, use Share or Send, then choose Rixin Archive.
Duplicate files
Rixin Archive checks the file content when importing. If it says the file is already archived, the same local archive copy already exists. Find the earlier item in the archive instead of importing the identical duplicate file again.
File cannot be read or permission expired
Android source apps can grant temporary permission to the shared file. That permission can expire, or the source app may no longer expose the file. Reopen the file in the source app and share it again. If necessary, save a fresh copy to Downloads or use a file manager to select and share it again.
If the file type is unsupported or the source app only shares a preview, use the source app's download, export, or Save as command first, then share the saved file to Rixin Archive.
AI archive assistant
AI and OCR suggestions are optional. While the assistant is reading and summarizing a file, tap Stop to cancel the current suggestion. To avoid automatic analysis for future shares, turn off Auto-run AI Archive Assistant in Settings; you can still archive manually or start AI Archive Assistant when you choose.
Local copies and deletion
Archiving creates a local copy inside Rixin Archive. Deleting an archived item deletes that local copy and its archive metadata, but does not delete the original file in the source app. Clearing Android app data or uninstalling the app can remove all local archive data, so keep any copies you need outside the app before doing so.
